Billy Gene Lindley, 87, died Sunday, September 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County, AL to Arlis Lindley and Gladys Wingo Lindley. He worked in tire service for heavy equipment and was a member of Red Bay Holiness Church.
Services will be Wednesday, October 2, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Samuel Tharp, Bro. Harold Sparks and Bro. Nick Hensley officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Lindley Cemetery, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Eleanor Lindley; son, Mike Gray (Peggy); daughter, Sheila Hardin; two grandchildren, Zackary Gray (Emily) and Bradley Laugherty (Ashlei); great-grandson, Zackary Gray, Jr.; sister, Martha Sparks (Harold), Lois Harrison and Sybli Tidwell; brother, Shelby Lindley and sisters-in-law, Patricia Rogers, Becky Lindley and Darcey Lindley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy Lindley and Harvey Lindley.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Laugherty, Zack Gray, Rickey Lindley, Johnny Kemp, Shannon Lindley and Timmy Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Lindley and Isaiah Lindley.
