A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors for Billy Gale (Bill) Trimble, 71 of Iuka, MS, will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11:30 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Corinth National Cemetery. Jerry Childs and Jerry Trimble will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M and Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Trimble passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born on August 19, 1946 in Booneville, MS to the late Auvern and Ernestine Trimble. He graduated from Thrasher High School in 1964 and later served the US Army in the Vietnam War. Mr. Trimble was a retired employee of ITT, where he made and had maintained friendships with countless individual. After retiring, Mr. Trimble dedicated his remaining time to woodworking, camping, visiting with friends and family, frequently traveling to The Great Smokey Mountains and simply enjoying life. But, more importantly, Mr. Trimble spent his most enjoyable time being a devoted husband, inspiring father, wise grandfather, and a faithful Christian. He was a true pillar of strength and support to his entire family.
Mr. Trimble is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Laura (Jimmy) Mayo of Michie, TN; Liz (Dewey Mincey) of Corinth; 3 grandsons, Brandon and Justin Mayo of Noxapater, MS and South Trimble Mincey of Corinth; brothers, Terry Trimble (Loretta Edmonson) of Pickwick, Mike Trimble (Cheryl) of Corinth; sisters, Judy Jourdan (Richard Doucette) of Pontotoc, Darlene Chittom (Danny Joe Hatifield) of Booneville and a host of many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Auvern and Ernestine(Nichols) Trimble, one brother, Danny Paul Trimble; maternal grandparents, Ward and Letha Nichols and paternal grandparents, Kellous and Mae Trimble.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mayo, Dewey Mincey, David Wooten, South Mincey, George Martin and Robert Martin.
Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Bill Gale (Bill) Trimble.
