Billy G. Jones was born on August 31, 1940 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert and Donie Hopper Jones.
He was united in marriage to Debra Faye Rowland, who preceded her husband in death August 28, 2004.
Mr. Jones worked as a dozer operator for 7 years for Adamsville Sand & Gravel. He was also employed as a construction worker doing various projects over the years. Billy loved coon hunting and vegetable gardening.
Billy G. Jones departed this life on January 4, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 4 days.
He is survived by his son, Greg Jones of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Dorothy Frazier and Betty Jo Harris, both of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Bobby Jones and his wife Jo of Savannah, Tennessee; grandson, Michael Jones; great grandchildren, Brayden Jones, Milani Jones, and Mia Michael; many nieces and nephews that loved him very much; and special friend and love, Joan Smith of Mississippi.
In addition to his parents and wife, Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys Tidwell, Ruby DeShazier, and Dovie Franks; brothers, Kenneth Jones, James Jones, Jimmy Jones, Robert Jones, and Ab Jones; and granddaughter, Jenny Lynn Jones.
