Billy Fay Busby age 76 passed away March 19, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born February 17, 1939 in Chester County and lived in the Sweetlips community all of his life, the son of the late Dewey Clyde and Ina Lee Hill Busby. He attended Chester County Schools and farmed as a young man, worked at Brown Shoe Company and had been in the logging business all his adult life. He loved to “truck patch” and also delivered the Jackson Sun Newspaper. Mr. Busby drove a Chester County School bus for twenty years. He drove bus 11 serving the Hwy. 45 South area. He was a member of the Sweetlips Baptist Church.
Mr. Busby is survived by his wife, Kathy Maness Busby of Henderson; a son, Jason Busby of Henderson and two daughters, Pam Pickett (Gary) of Henderson and Amy Busby (Danny) of Henderson; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jimmie Smith and a brother, D.C. Busby.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Ricky Tedford and Don Taylor officiating and burial will follow in Sweetlips Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5 PM until 9 PM on Friday.
