Billy D. Allen, 70, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Dennis, MS to Vester Dupree and Ollie Cleo Wooten Allen. He became a minister in 1973. He was a Bishop in The Church of God and was serving as district overseer in Alabama. He was a member of The Church of God in Red Bay.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 5, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Jerry Cox, Bro. Donnie Wooten and Bro. Gary Puckett officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Allen; four daughters, Kayla Miller (Erik), Gayla Conner (Keith), Courtney Smith (Mason) and Stephanie McMillian (Brent); six grandchildren, Peyton McMillian, Patrick McMillian, Presley McMillian, Cruise Miller, Gracie Miller and Jack Wilder Smith; other adopted grandchildren; his niece, Katlyn Winters; foster grandchildren; many daycare children and his dog, Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wayne Allen.
Pallbearers will be Erik Miller, Mason Smith, Keith Conner, Brent McMillian, Cruise Miller, Peyton McMillian and Patrick McMillian.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont MS.
