Billie Rose Raney, 75, of Madison, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Mrs. Raney was retired from Raytheon and was a member of New Market Baptist Church where she sang with the choir and served as a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Raney was also a working member of the Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief Team for 12 years, along with her husband, Gordon.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Gordon Raney; children: Dean Barker (L.D.), Keely Barker (David), Lyn Knox and Jill Clemons (Roger); nine grandchildren: Daniel Panella (Tasha), Kayla Panella, Lisa Barker, Julia Barker, Logan Barker, Chelsea McKinney (Ammon), Sam Park (Tess), Janna Park (Julian) and Jacob Loper; six great-grandchildren: Araylynn, Britton, Brienna, Archer, Warren and one on the way; and brothers: Randy Bailey (Patricia) and Larry Bailey.
Mrs. Raney was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Rosa Bailey; two sisters, Sue Turner and Laurene Schrimsher; one brother, Donald Bailey.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1st from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by service at 2:00 with Rev. Bobby Eades officiating. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
The family asks that everyone please wear a mask at the visitation and service.
