Billie Neal Carmack, 93, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2024.

Mrs. Carmack is survived by her daughters, Virginia Kaye Hill (Curtis), and Janice Nixon (Edward); son, Alan Duane Carmack; sister, Blevins Charles; grandchildren, Daniel Uptagrafft (Alicia), Allison Kizer (Barton), Ashley Crowe (Charlie), and Nathan Hill (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Taylor Daniel (Justin), Blake Uptagrafft, Nathan Uptagrafft, Cole Kizer, Celia Kizer, Elias Kizer, Alba Kizer, Dorothy Crowe, Sybil Crowe, Otis Crowe, Mia Hill, Eie Hill, and Rosalee Hill, and great-great-granddaughter, Madelyn Jean Daniel.

She was preceded by her husband, Glenn Miller Carmack; daughter, Donna Jean Uptagrafft; parents, John Leonard and Pearl Virginia Thurman; sister, Frances Isabel Dickerson; and grandson, Michael Uptagrafft.

Billie was a native of Rogersville, Tennessee, and a resident of Madison County since 1958.  She was a faithful member of Chase Park Church of Christ.  Mrs. Carmack was a beloved 2nd-grade teacher at Madison Academy for 37 years.

Visitation for Mrs. Carmack will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Berryhill Funeral Home From 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  A funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm.  The interment will take place at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
