Mrs. Billie Marie Fields, of Joppa, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Marshall Medical Center North at the age of 77.
Mrs. Fields was born, a true southern belle, on August 24, 1945 to William Turner Harris and Nellie Elizabeth Rosenbalm in Birmingham Alabama. She was an escrow title loan officer for North American Title, and after retiring was a homemaker with her husband of 28 years William Allen Fields. She was a member of Hebron Church of Christ and deeply loved her church. She will be remembered for being a kind and gentle person, always helping others and making the best lemon icebox pies. Mrs. Fields loved reading, curling up with her cats, and collecting antiques especially glass jars. She also went to conventions for, and collected antique Fisher-Price toys. She was a member of Arab Customs & Classics Car Club, and enjoyed cruising around with her husband in their 1973 Boat-tail Buick Riviera.
Mrs. Fields leaves behind memories to be cherished by her husband; William “Bill” Fields, daughters; Julie Carvalho and her husband Vince, Rachel Vidales and her husband Alejandro, Deborah Lynn Ingalls and her husband David, Pamela Escobar and her husband Joe, Luisa Fields and her husband Ysidro, and Lucy Fields, 19 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fields is preceded in death by her parents; William and Nellie Harris.
The family has elected cremation. A visitation with the family is scheduled for Saturday November 12, 2022 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Hebron Church of Christ at 3382 Hulaco Road, Joppa AL 35087. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm officiated by Brock Johnson.
