Billie Jean Miller Billie Jean Hunter Miller of Murfreesboro, 91, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her home where she has lived with her sister, Dorothy Comer, for the past ten years.  She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County, born to Thea L. and Amanda L. Creech Hunter.  She attended Walter Hill School and worked as a cashier in several businesses.  She also served as a dispatcher for the Smyrna Police Department.  Billie was a baptized believer of Jesus Christ and a member of the church of Christ.  She was an avid UT football fan, and enjoyed watching many sports.

In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Miller (1978); her sons, James Michael Miller (2010) and Robert Edmund Miller (2004); grandson, Robert Daniel Miller (2001); brothers, John B Hunter and George Edward Hunter; and sisters, Christine Hunter and Glenna Thomas.

She is survived by her son, William Stanley Miller (Darlene), daughter-in-law, Nancy Miller of Lascassas; five grandchildren, David (Meriam), John (Amanda), and Nathan (Aubrie) Miller; Jeff (Jennifer) Miller and Anna (John) Woerner; thirteen great grandchildren, Makenna, Mercedes, Melody and Maebry Miller; Everett and Ian Miller; Emilee and Elizabeth Miller; Hannah Grace, Ozzie, and Allie Woerner; Cole and Abbey Miller; sister, Dorothy; and several nieces and nephews.

Private burial will be in the Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna.

The family would like to thank the North Boulevard Church of Christ MOW volunteers for the meals and visits during the past year, Caris Healthcare staff for their kind support, and Chris Hill, friend and chaplain, for his weekly visits to pray and provide communion over the past 4 years.
