Bill Woods, age 75, of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Friday October 13, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Woods was born June 5, 1948, in Michigan. He was a resident of Haleyville, Alabama for 58 years and was a member of the Philadelphia Deliverance Tabernacle.
Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Gary Lackey officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Deliverance Tabernacle Cemetery.
Mr. Woods is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Louise Plunkett Woods; also survived by his three daughters, Patricia Suchey (Patrick), Tina Maakestad (Tim), Tracy Benefield (Tim); loving sister, Delilah Hutton (Gary); Papaw to his grandchildren, Caci Konyk (Jacob), Johnathan Suchey (Kynlie), Chrissie Hooper (Landon), Emma Chatman (Mykelti), Diania Benefield (Jake), John Cohn Suchey, Tanner Dukes, Alexia Dukes, Aslan Dukes, and Justin Cagle; great-grandchildren, Addyson and Alani Chatman; Piper, Nora and Willa Konyk, Josie, Alice, Fallon, and Wyatt Hooper; and close family friend, Kevin Boyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Y. Woods and Helen Hamilton; brother, Randal Herbert Hamilton; granddaughter, Tiffany Cagle; and grandson, Jarrett Turner.
