Bill Taylor, age 88, passed from this life June 23, 2021, at his home in Grand Junction, TN.
Mr. Taylor was born in Madison County, March 25, 1933, to William Leland and Alice Babb Taylor. He was married to Betty Joe Colvin, June 7, 1953. For 45 years, Mr. Taylor worked for IC Railroad and was a rural mail carrier for several years. He became a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Junction in October 1957 and was their music director for 45 years. Mr. Taylor was drafted into the U. S. Army in 1953 and was active for 2 years. He and his wife moved to Hardeman County in September 1957.
Survivors include his wife Betty; two sons, Gregory Jay Taylor and wife Pam of Marietta, GA, and Christopher Jason Taylor and wife Arwen of Collierville, TN; and by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Tim Taylor who passed in 1984; a sister, Almarie Moore and two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Taylor and Robert Harold Taylor.
