Bill Hugh Mullins was born November 21, 1939 in Memphis, TN the son of the late Roy Hugh and Mildred Jane Gates Mullins.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Bland on May 25, 1956. Mrs. Mullins preceded him in death on January 4, 2007, after 50 years of marriage.
Mr. Mullins was blessed with the ability to work with his hands, allowing him to provide for his wife and family He was a residential construction carpenter and a mechanic working on both cars and tractors. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid quail hunter, and gardener. He along with his wife and family traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway numerous times enjoying all the wonderful scenery and stops along the way. He was a fan of Bluegrass and Folk music.He enjoyed his friends at the Double Barrel Cafe and ate breakfast there almost everyday. He was a member of the Campground United Methodist Church in Chalybeate, Mississippi.
Mr. Mullins shared 50 years of devotion, friendship, and love with his bride Susie as he affectionately called her. Their love for one another and God is the legacy they leave for their children and grandchildren.
Mr. Mullins departed this life on March 24, 2016 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 76 Years, 4 Months, 3 Days. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Nails and husband Johnny of Walnut, MS, Donna Byrd and husband Wayne of Walnut, MS; a son, Roy Mullins Sr. and wife Gwen of Walnut, MS; three brothers, Bob Mullins of Walnut, MS, Terry Mullins and wife Jindra of Ramer, TN, Jerry Mullins of Hohenwald, TN; brother-in-law, Bradley Bland and wife Karen of Holly Springs, MS; eight grandchildren, Tommy Nails, Heath Nails and wife Taylor, Heather Holt, Ginger McCoy and husband Chris, Brandon Wilkinson, Billy Clay Mullins and wife Lisa, Roy Mullins Jr. and wife Christy, Misty Baswell and husband Bryan; 19 Great Grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
