Bill Gober, 87, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at First Baptist Church of Sheffield. The funeral will be noon Saturday at the church, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield. Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.

I am Edgar Mitchell, I too am a Marine of WWII. My brother Marine, Bill Gober is still a Marine also. We are always marines, even in death.
