Bill Emerson departed this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at the age of 67 years, 7 months, 15 days.

Bill was born in Florence, Alabama on July 10, 1946, the son of the late William Carroll and Annie Rob Porter Emerson. He was enlisted and honorably discharged from the US Army National Guard in the late 60’s. On June 1, 2001, he was united in marriage to Gillian (Jill) Stewart, who survives. Bill had worked for PCA and was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Kennel Club, Jack’s Creek Beagle Club, and served as president of several beagle clubs. He loved rabbit hunting with his beagles, fishing, hunting, trading, horses, and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife, Jill Emerson of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Jeff Emerson of Dickson, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Angie Roberts Etheridge of Savannah, Tennessee; granddaughter, Elle Etheridge; sister, Jimmie Warren of Jackson, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda White.
