 Image result for recall lagrangeLEIGHTON-The 31st Commemorative Anniversary of Recall LaGrange will be held on May 3 through 5 at the site of LarGrange College now know as Lagrange Park located at 1491 LaGrange College Road in Leighton.

The event is the bicentennial for the college, 1819-2019 and is a sanctioned 200th year celebration for Alabama. There will be hay wagon rides to LaGrange Cemetery., Music artist and craftsmen from across the Southern States will be touting their art along with tours of the Log buildings.

schedule of events:

Friday is school and senior day.  Saturday will be open for public main events and Sunday will be tours and arts and crafts displays.

FRIDAY OPENING CEREMONY

• Acknowledgment of families of early settlers to Alabama (Sign Register)
• Observatory opened for Stargazers by the Shoals Astronomy Club
• Tours of Log Buildings
• Arts/Crafts Demonstrations & Sales
• Wagon rides to Historic Cemetery
• Food Vendors
• Musical Entertainment

Civil War Daily Life Camp All Day & Still Raid 2 PM:   The reenactment will include a period correct living history centering on a Prohibition Era Raid of a Moonshine Still.  Displays will include a skirmish by lawmen. Living History Events will be ongoing throughout the day, including tours of a nearby Distillery.  A Civil War Living History Encampment will be held during the entire weekend inside the historic park.
