Beverly Sue Krantz Profile PhotoBeverly Sue Krantz, 77, of Lewisburg, passed away on Monday, July 8th at her home.

Sue was born in Nashville to G.M. and Maudie Bell Slater on June 12, 1947. Sue became a Christian at a young age and loved participating in church, camp, and singing. Other than hymns anything by Elvis was her favorite music. Sue married her sweetheart Tommy on August 8, 1964. This year they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary. Sue worked as a hairdresser and owned her own beauty shop early in their marriage. After losing their first baby, Stephanie, on December 21, 1972, they were blessed with twins in 1974 and from that point on Sue worked from the home. She was an avid gardener, decorator, and famous cook. Sue was quick to give a smile, make friends, and offer love and acceptance. Knowing no stranger, she was loved quickly and easily. Tommy and Sue relocated to Lewisburg from Joelton in 1980 and have called their farm home since that time. The first to decorate for Christmas and the last to take it down, Sue enjoyed a good gathering, holiday festivities, and any social event. Due to Sue’s hospitality, the farm and Sue and Tommy’s home is a special place to many.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, G.M. and Maudie Bell Slater; her siblings, George Maurice Jr (“Botchie”), Eugene (Gene), Anna Cook, James (Jimmy), Deborah Harper (Debbie); and her daughter, Stephanie.

Sue is survived by husband, Tommy; her children, Tracy McFerrin and Stacy Pritchard; their spouses, Richard and John; her sister, Linda Fulghum and brother, Jerry; beloved nephew, Kenny Harper; grandchildren, Austin Bratton, Cole Bratton, Alyssa McFerrin, Elliott Pritchard, Andrew McFerrin, Avery Pritchard, and Cord McFerrin; great-grandson Camden Bratton; many nephews and nieces; dear friends Marie Buck, Nancy Farmer, and Sue Holland.

Visitation will be held 4:00PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, July 11th, at Bills-McGaugh and Hamilton in Lewisburg, TN. Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in Sue’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The family of Sue Krantz wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Sheila and Brittney at Compassus for their compassionate and thorough care of our mom.
