Beverly Phelps Barnett, 76, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
She was born on February 8, 1948 and raised in Parrish, AL. She later moved her family to Arley, AL where she resided for 42 years. She was a member of Arley Church of Christ where she spent countless hours worshipping our Lord. She lost her husband, Steve, in 2001 and we rejoice in the fact that they are together again. She was Arley’s first Avon lady and continued in that position until just a few years ago. She will be remembered as a kind, Christian lady and will be greatly missed by the Arley community.
The funeral will be held at Collins-Burke Funeral home in Jasper, AL on Monday, July 8, 2024. Visitation for friends will be at 10:00 am, with the service beginning at 11:00. Officiating the service will be Will Tucker.
Beverly was preceded in death by her Husband of 33 years-Steven Wayne Barnett; Parents-Willie and Eva Phelps.
She is survived by her Brother-Ronnie (Marsha) Phelps; Sons-Doug (Alisha) Barnett, Chad (Cecily) Barnett and Chris Barnett; Grandchildren- Owen Barnett, Audrey Barnett, and Kristen Barnett; Great-grandchild-Braydon Treadway.
Pallbearers will be Daryl Phelps, Tracey Phelps, Ryan Phelps, Matthew Tucker, Kevin Tucker, Jacob Barnett and Owen Barnett.
The family has requested that you honor Beverly’s memory with a gift to Indian Creek Youth Camp: 7855 Pleasantfield Road, Oakman, AL 35579. She always talked fondly of her weeks spent at camp.
