Beverley was born in Benton Kentucky to Frank and Irene Gatlin on December 08, 1941. She was born close to midnight, so we always associated her birthday with Pearl Harbor. Her father was serving in World War 2 at the time.
She graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit Michigan. She always had a great love for animals, especially cats. At the age of 60, she took taekwondo, entered and won Ms. Senior Etowah County in 2002, was a member of the Vintage Ladies, and she started the Queens of Entertainment. She was also President of the Ladies Auxiliary 2760 but always said her proudest achievement was playing role of Trudy in Steel Magnolias.
