Funeral service for Bettye Jean (Wall) Hall Lott, age 90, of Decatur, will be Monday, April 26, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lynn Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. The family respectfully requests that masks be worn.
Mrs. Lott, who died Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born March 31, 1931, in Maury County, TN, to James Thomas Wall and Trudy Tatum Wall. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert Hall and Don Lott, her parents, and two brothers, Joseph Wall and James Wall. Mrs. Lott was employed by Winn Dixie for 35 years. She loved hummingbirds, cooking, flowers of all kinds, her church family at Stoney Acres Baptist Church, and was especially fond of her grandson and great-grandson.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Hall (Lori Pugh) of Brewton; one daughter, Rhonda Hall Penn (Tommy) of Decatur; one grandson, J. T. Hall of Hartselle; one great-grandson, Talan Hall of Hartselle; and her beloved friend, Joe Howard of Decatur. She knew lots of people and will be missed by many.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
