Bettye Foster Kuykendall, 91, resident of Columbia, died Friday, September 27, 2024, at Poplar Estates.

Lifelong native of Maury County, she was born and raised in the Sawdust Community. Born January 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Evan Foster and the late Flora Pipkin Foster (Eugene) Martin. Bettye married Ray Eugene Kuykendall Sr., who preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Kuykendall was a long time babysitter, and would sit with the elderly. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Martha Sue (Ken) Hayes, and Bettye Ann (Cesar) Mazuelos; grandchildren, Cary, Candace, Beth, Steven, Courtney, and Crystal; great-grandchildren, Chase, Lexie, Collin, Alex, Austin, Chelsea, Kendall, Kaylee, Natalie, Caroline, Millie, Archie, and Gracie.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mary Ruth; son, Ray Edward “Buddy” Kuykendall Jr.; sister, Frances Winters; and brothers, Billy Foster and Bobby Foster.
