Betty Witherall Jones, a resident of Decatur since 1960, passed away on June 1, 2017. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on Aug. 21, 1931 to Jack and Marell Witherall. She was predesceased by her husband, Billy Don Jones; her parents; and one sister, Taresa Price.
Betty is survived by two sons, Don and his wife, Allison, of Georgia and Gary Jones, of Decatur; two grandsons, Brett and his wife, Jessie, of Tuscaloosa and Tyler and his wife, Vanessa, of California; and one sister, Ann Mozley, of Montgomery.
Betty enjoyed golf, Alabama football, and boating on the Tennessee River.
A private service will be held for the family at a later date. Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a favorite charity.
