Betty Williams Adair, age 81, of Mooresville, Tennessee, died Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at her residence.
She was born July 31st, 1942, in Marshall County, to the late Houston A. and Mabel Jett Williams. She retired after co-owning the Mooresville Store, and working several years at Genesco and Cosmolab. She was also a member of the Baptist Church. She loved hummingbirds, fishing, and camping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Paisley Cummings, three brothers, Billy Williams, Buddy Williams, and Doug Williams, and a sister, Peggy Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Adair, daughter, Deborah Cummings of Shelbyville, who died later that day, one son, Tim Newcomb of Murfreesboro, one daughter, Melissa (Chris) Roberts of Mooresville, three sisters, Lucille Landrum, of Mooresville, Evelyn Beard of Petersburg, and Linda Boyce of Wheel, one brother, Jerry Williams of Mooresville, five grandchildren, Dana Newcomb, Waymon Cummings, Will Cummings, Brianna Roberts and Braxton Roberts, and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 until the funeral hour.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home 324 West Church Street Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow in Bryant Cemetery.
