Betty Sue Shelton, 85, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will being at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Brother Craig Carlisle officiating. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Betty is survived by Windell Shelton; brother, Bobby Reeves; niece, Kim Wallace (Bryan); nephews, Greg Reeves (Jesslyn), David Thompson (Melonie), Steve Reeves (Jamie) and Ronnie Thompson (Sarah), and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roman Reeves; mother, Grace Reeves; sister, Katherine Thompson and brother, Billy Reeves.
Betty retired from First Alabama Bank, but previously was employed as a bookkeeper at Windell Shelton Home Builders, Forbes Piano Company, Andy’s Pest Control, and Burningtree Country Club. She was longtime member of Central Park Baptist Church. Betty was a loving caregiver to all of her family. She was the perfect example of a loving Christian woman, and touched the lives of so many people.
Pallbearers will be David Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Greg Reeves, Steve Reeves, Tyler Thompson, Colby Reeves, and Bryan Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Park Baptist Church.
