Betty Sue Lanier, age 90 of Boaz passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at her home.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at Happy Hill Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Jeff Lybrand, Rev. Matt Allen and Rev. Justin Joiner will officiate her service. Pallbearers will be Brian Morris, Chad Morris, David Lanier, Randall Tolleson, Jason Yerby and Adam Allen. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 before the service at the church.
She is survived by her daughters; Delaine Morris (Nelson), Cindy Tolleson (Randy) and Amanda Allen (Steve), son: Donny Lanier (Barbara), daughter-in-law; Bernadette Lanier, grandchildren; Brian, Chad (Tricia), Angela (Wayne), Kristy (Michael), David, Jessica (Fermin), Tiffany (Jason), Randall (Randi), Erica (Justin), Adam and Matt (Carley), 16 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and her sister; Lealla Hood (Sam).
She is preceded in death by her husband; Roy Lanier, son; Boyce Lanier, parents; Sylvester and Alma Davis, brothers and sisters.
