Ms. Betty Sue Green, age 82 of Athens, AL passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility. Ms. Green was born on January 20, 1937 in Blount County to Albert Lee Stancil and Mamie Mae Miller Stancil.
Ms. Green is survived by two daughters, Teresa Gibbs (Wyman) of Elkmont, AL and Annette Mason of Athens, AL; grandchildren, Christopher George Mason, Dustin Mason (Lacy), Dana Cooklish (Scott), Mallory Romine (John) and Hollis Gibbs; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mason, Abbie Mason, Tenley Romine, Tillie Ann Mason, Katie Cooklish and Connor Cooklish; brother, Earl Stancil and many nieces and nephews.
She attended Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Roselawn Cemetery with Bro. Dusty McLemore officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lindsay Lane Baptist Church Children’s mission.
