Betty Sue Godsey, age 90 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away September 29, 2023 at her home. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, October 2, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Ron Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Ms. Godsey is survived by her children, Carolyn (Johnny Mack) Stough, Gary (Joyce) Simms, Rebekah Martin, Stephen (Dawn) Eaton, Jennifer (Ron) McInnish, Connie Ingle and J.D. Eaton; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Eaton and Jay Godsey , Sr.; father, Joseph McKinley Jones ; mother, Annie Lou Hornsby Jones; brothers, Otis Jones, Mack Donald Jones, Joseph Dennis Jones and Alden Jones; sisters, Vivian Eleanor Bradford, Nettie Mae Scott and Leta Leona Gordon; children, A.C. Eaton, Patricia Ann Eaton and Rita Diane Eaton; sons in law, Wayne Martin and Arlin Campbell; grandsons, Deetric Martin and Matthew Eaton; great grandson, Jon Campbell McGough.
