Betty Sue Beck Addington, age 89, of Nashville, TN passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Traditions of Smyrna. She was a native of Ethridge, TN, retired from Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute with over 40 years of service, and a member of Una Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Oren and Stella Gower Beck; three brothers, Mack Beck, James Beck and Virgil Beck; and one sister, Peggy Pickard.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicky Tataryn (Gene Dixon) of Nashville, TN; one son, Steve Addington (Cheryl) of Murfreesboro, TN; two grandsons, Nick Tataryn and Atajan Atayev; one granddaughter, Shannon Hinton; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Buddy Beck of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sisters, Tooty Joiner of Lawrenceburg, TN, Erma Carrell of Summertown, TN, and Carol Brewer of Lawrenceburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2023, with Nick Tataryn officiating. Interment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Una Church of Christ, 1917 Old Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37217.
