Betty Ruth Witcher Patterson Sexton, 88 years old, passed away July 5th 2024 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. She was born March 24th 1936 in Cullman Alabama to William G. and Vesta Goolsby Witcher.
She worked at Cullman Lingerie for 26 years and owned and operated a small grocery store in Scottsboro Alabama. She moved to Albertville in 2000.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wallace Sexton, her son John Craig Patterson, her parents and 10 siblings.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Larry McClendon; her grandchildren Kyle (Jewelie) Patterson, Ryan Brogdon and Betty Patterson; Great grandchildren Shyla Patterson, Kolton Patterson, Hannah Brogdon and Holli Brogdon; Step children Greg Sexton and Peggy Sexton; Step grandchildren Chasity McClendon (Carlos) Marbury, Scotty McClendon, Meagan Tomczak, Justin Oleson, Brianne Oleson and Gema Lara Recendiz and Step Great grandchildren Justice Evans, Layla Parker, Makenzie Tomczak-Griffith and Kody Tomczak; Nieces and nephews, Friends Kenneth and Melanie McClendon, Brenda Drake, Tommy Ann Bradford, Peggy Crawford and Steve Crawford.
The family would like to thank Dr. Morgan Jackson, Dr. Stephen Britt, the staff at Marshall Medical North ER and 3rd floor and the staff at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
