Betty Ruth Baker Crittenden went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2024. She was born November 7, 1936 in Mobile, AL to Jacob and Rosella Baker.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Baker Crittenden of Cumming, GA; two sons, John Carl Crittenden (Dana) of Morris, AL and Kelly Curran Crittenden (Jan) of Hartselle, AL; two grandchildren, Amber Rose Crittenden and Andrew Curran Crittenden of Hartselle, AL; two sisters, Mildred Pettey of Eureka, MO and Hazel Meade Thomspon of Florence, AL.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Curran Crittenden; her parents, Jacob and Rosella Baker and her brother, George (Buddy) Baker (Billie Faye).
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Decatur and had retired for 19 years in banking. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted wife.
A visitation and service will be conducted Monday, April 8, 2024 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. and service at 2 p.m. There will be a graveside service in Florence at Greenview Memorial following the service in Decatur.
Memorial donations can be made to Alabama Baptist Children’s Home in Decatur or to a favorite charity.
