On August 21,2023, Betty Nichols Humbers of Vernon, Alabama got her wings and went to fly with the angels. Born on December 18th, 1951 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Wilburn Nichols and Vernell Taylor Watson, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, M. Steve Humbers; her sister, Gaye Lowery; and brother, Charles Nichols. She is survived by her three daughters, Angie Coronna (James Fitts), Missy Wright (Jeff Wright), and Brandy Reed (Timothy Reed; niece, Georgia Perry (Greg Perry); nephew, Billy Castle (Cynthia Castle); and nephew, Jason Castle. Betty is survived by her 6 grandchildren: Tony Coronna, Tiffany Coronna, Kristen Wright Jordan, Summer Weathers, LaTrell Jones, and Victoria Jones, along with 9 great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Betty was known for her love of arts and crafts including sewing, crocheting, cross stitching, diamond art, and for sharing her beautiful creations with her family. She had a love of gardening and a green thumb similarly to her mother. She is also known for her unwavering love of animals and never letting a stray go without a loving home. Those who knew her, knew of her love for her pets. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be determined at a later time.
