Betty Mae Pounders Grissom, 86, passed away on Aug. 26, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Quinn Memorial Church of Christ where she worshipped for over 60 years.
Visitation will be today at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from noon until 2 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Grissom Cemetery, Spruce Pine. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Vinson, Tyler Vinson, Michael Vinson, Johnny Grissom, John Daniel Grissom, and Dwight Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers will be men from Quinn Memorial Church of Christ.
Survivors include son, Ronnie Lee Grissom, Spruce Pine; son-in-law, George E Vinson Jr.; grandchildren, Jana A. Voyles, Diana L. Vinson, Johnny Grissom, Jeffrey E. Vinson, Michael G. Vinson, and Tonya Crowden; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Grissom; parents, F.H. and Emma Pounders; daughter, Judith Ann Vinson; and sister, Marcell Bingham.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
