Betty Louise Tidwell Flatt, age 64 passed away July 12, 2023, at her home.
She was born September 17, 1958, in Jackson, and grew up at Bemis, the daughter of Thomas Tidwell and the late Minnie Lee Henley. She went to school at Bemis and South Side High School. She worked at Chester Manufacturing and Skate World.
She married Robert Earl Flatt in 1991 and they made their home in Henderson.
Mrs. Flatt is survived by three daughters, Tracy Killough (Randy) of Jackson, Christy Gilliam (Jackie) of Enville and Kim Elway of Henderson; her father, Thomas Tidwell; nine grandchildren, Jason Taylor, Faith Taylor, Samantha Mosier, Landon Taylor, Jared Gilliam, Hayley Gilliam, Brittany Pruett, Brandon Pruett and Macie Elway; three great grandchildren, James (Drew) Taylor, Jayce Mosier and Chloe Pruett and a sister, Cyndi Tidwell of Henderson.
She enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Jane Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Robert Earl Flatt in 2020.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery, Sardis, TN.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
