Betty Louise Lemonds, age 70 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Greenville, Tennessee on June 5, 1954, and adopted by the late Clifford and Audrey (Hendron) Gulley. Betty was a devoted homemaker with a servant’s heart. She loved crafting, especially crocheting, donating hundreds of hats and scarves to local and international shelters. She also volunteered in the Franklin County School System and was a substitute teacher. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching baseball and football, and especially cheering on the University of Tennessee Volunteers. When she was able, she enjoyed traveling to her home away from home, Gatlinburg. A faithful Christian, Betty was a dedicated member of Little Mountain Church of Christ. Her kind and loving spirit will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Dennis Lemonds. Betty Is survived by her loving children, Stacey Lemonds, and Daniel (Christy) Lemonds; fur babies, Daisy May and Henry; and a special friend whom she considered her sister, Angie Barnes. Visitation will be from 1-3pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Macon and Bro. Stephen Welsh officiating. Interment will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Memorial Cemetery in Paris, Tennessee.
