Betty Lou Starnes, 86 of Bremen, passed away March 23, 2023 at her residence. She was a retired Customer Service Manager from Wal-Mart in Sumiton. Betty Lou was known for being full of joy, happiness and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Starnes; son, Mike Starnes; great grandson, Makenzie Michael Starnes; siblings, Basil Capps, Opal Ruth Gossett, James “Cookie” Capps, Ralph Capps and Jimmy Ray Capps; brother-in-law, Bill Starnes and sisters-in-law, Mittie Ann Williams and Betty Fay Muncher.
Survivors include her sons, Greg Starnes and wife Kim and Darwin Starnes and wife Toka; grandchildren, Mikki (Shannon), Korrie (Tyler), Seth, Crystal (Charles), Christopher (Jennifer) and Sara (Johnny); great grands, Hannah (Tanner), Maggie (Chad), Dakota, Emma (Jaden), Karlie, Ashtin, Abel, Howard, Isabella, Finnley and McKinsley; one great-great grandson, Stetson Connor (Due in June); sister, Alice Westbrook; brothers, Bruce Capps (Cheryl) and Ronald Capps; sisters-in-law, Rita Starnes and Margie Hendrix; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Greg Starnes and Rev. Lane Sargent will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday night 6-8 pm.
