Betty Lou Morgan, age 81, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, formerly of Haleyville, passed away Saturday December 8, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Visitation will be Wednesday December 12, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Gene O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery. Betty was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Haleyville, Al. from its beginning years. She attended for many years prior to moving to Tuscumbia. Betty was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Morgan; parents, Newt and Ellen Dodd; sister, Jewel Butler; and brothers, N.E. Doddand Grady Dodd. She is survived by her daughter, Linda and son-in-law Robert Mullins of Huntsville, AL.; son, Randy Morgan and daughter-in-law Dianna of Florence, AL.; grandchildren, Kevin League of Indianapolis, IN; Hannah Kay Morgan and Hunter Lee Morgan of Florence, AL.; sister, Bernice Bass of Haleyville, AL.; brother, Odie “Cotton” Dodd, his wife Offie of Lynn, AL.; special friend, Claude Glasgow of Russellville, AL.; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
