Betty Lou Heberling – Obituary

Betty Lou Heberling, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at her residence in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was born June 14, 1926 to Clark P. and Vera Mae Phillips in DuBois, Penn. During the 1950’s she and her husband, Roy Heberling Jr. moved to Tupelo where she lived until 1991. While in Tupelo, she worked for Sears and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She returned to Treasure Lake, Penn. after the death of her husband and was currently a member of Lakeside Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being with her family.

Services will be 11 am Friday at the Lee Memorial Chapel with her son-in-law, Chris Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

She is survived by her children, Marsha Donaldson of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Brad Heberling of Tupelo, Ronnie Heberling of Evans, Ga. and her special son-in-law and caregiver, Chris Donaldson of Tuscaloosa; her sister, Josephine Bouch and brother, Dick Phillips, both of DuBois, Penn; six grandchildren, Amy Burleson Floyd (Trea) of Charlotte, N.C., William M. Rasberry, Jr. M.D. of Nashville, Tenn., Shannon Heberlling of Tupelo, Justin Heberling (Chasen) of Helena, Ala., Ryan Heberling (Rachel) of Southaven, and Andrea Donaldson Hopper (Billy) of Anthem, Ariz.; eight great-grandchildren, Emery and Walker Floyd, Kaylee, Kage, and Kandace Heberling, Kyler and Anna Chace Heberling, and Cody Hopper.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Emerson Heberling Jr.; and a special friend, George Noble.
