Mrs. Betty Lou Burton age 84 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away Monday, April 29, 2024. She was born on July 25, 1939 in Smithville, TN, was a member of the Rockliff Church of Christ, and a homemaker who enjoyed birds and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Odella Goolsby Ashburn, husband Jack Royce Burton, infant sisters Olla Marie Ashburn and Frances Ruth Ashburn, and her brother Bobby Donald Ashburn.
She is survived by her sons James Burton, Donald (Colleen) Burton, Michael (Melissa) Burton, and Chris (Robin) Burton, sisters Dorothy Lee Herrin and Eva Lois Smith, grandchildren Andrea Burton, Erica Burton, Joshua Burton, Jonathan Burton, Cassie (Tyler) Grove, Austin (Skyler) Burton, Bailey Burton, Avery Kate Burton, and Ansley Burton, and great grandchildren Ian Burton, Jasper Burton, Alla Burton, Marley Burton, Alyssa Burton, and Kresta Burton.
Funeral service is scheduled at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 03, 2024 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Boyd and Robert Horton will officiate. Interment will follow at Rockliff Cemetery. Visitation with the Burton family will be held on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rockliff Cemetery Fund.
