Betty L. Hudson of Huntsville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening. She was 83. Mrs. Hudson had retired from the Chrysler Corporation.
She was a Christian, a long-time member of Chase Missionary Baptist Church, and was a loving wife and mother who always went above and beyond in showing her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thomas Hudson and by her parents, Connie & Viola Vaughn Glover; her sister, Bonnie Curtis.
Surviving family members include her daughter, Sharon Mierzejewski, her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry & Kathy Sumners, her daughter, Rhonda Hudson Hopkins, and her son, Rodney Hudson.
Her grandchildren: Joshua Crandall, Brittney Sumners, and Louis “Skeeter” Mierzejewski Jr, She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12pm until 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Johnson, Pastor Lon Ostrzycki, and Pastor Ira Brock officiating. Burial will then be in Blanche Cemetery.
