Betty L. Aycock – Obituary

Betty L. Aycock, 78, passed on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of deceased, Charles W. Lowery, a World War I Veteran and Hattie Morgan Lowery, Loving Mother and Homemaker. Who instilled in her to be her brother’s keeper and to know God is Love and to live in her house beside of the road and be a friend to man.

She was the youngest of five deceased siblings: Carl L, Lowery, Brother, Theda Elkins (Cobie Craft), (Lawrence Elkins), Verna Isbell (Gunter), Helen M. Posey (Charles R.) and Thelma L. Hunt, Sisters.

Her In-Laws (deceased): Albert Sidney Aycock, Father-in-Law and Pearl Roden Aycock, Mother-in-Law, Dorothy M. Poag, Sister-in Law and Billy Poag, Brother-in-Law.

God gave her many desires of her heart and life.

Survivors include the Love of her life – Harold L. Aycock, spouse of 61 years

God’s Enrichment to her life – Children: Ricky H. Aycock (Shelia), Derek L. Aycock (Sandra) and Carla A. Aycock.

God’s gift of fun and happiness – Grandchildren: Caleb Aycock, Shannon Ricks (Corinthian), Erica, Kim, Joshua (Haley), Derek, Jr., Kayla, and Justice Aycock

God’s gift of joy – Great Grandchildren: Keevan Ricks, Tyler, CJ, Brian, Nicole, Amber Aycock, Keeara Ricks, Jaiden, Ayden and Braxton Aycock.

Albert Neal Aycock, Brother in Law, Robert Hunt, Brother-in-Law, Doris L. Lowery, Sister-in-law and Mollie S. Jeffries (L.C) Sister-in-Law.

A host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to CC Nelson, Christine Montgomery and Joy Sunday School Class, Bro Greg Beasley and Valley Grove Baptist Church for the many prayers and devotion during her illness. Loving Friends Lewis Hugley and Family, Robert Smith and Family, Ray Eggleston, Brooks and Peggy Bowling, Wayne and Faye Hester, Ann Holden and Lois Holden. Devoted employees Eddie Thorne, Brandon Jackson and Family.

services.

No flowers please make donations to St. Jude’s, Wounded Warriors, Valley Grove Baptist Church or a charity of your choice. Please leave God’s creation clean and beautiful for the next generations. God Bless America.

Per her request there will be no services. The family will receive family and friends at the home of Ricky and Shelia Aycock, 2515 Old Hwy 20, Tuscumbia on Saturday, February 6th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
