Obituary of Betty June Clark It is with deep sadness, that the family of Betty June Clark announce her passing on Friday, January 3rd after a long and fulfilling life of 97 years.

Betty was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to John and Mary Kunkle on February 10th, 1927. After graduating high school, Betty began working for the local telephone company, Diamond State Telephone, operating the large manual switchboard. While working there, in 1952 she met and married Glenn Arlen Clark. They were married for 63 years until his passing in 2016.

Betty was co-owner and vice president of ITEC, Inc., a telecommunications company located in Huntsville, which was founded by her husband Glenn in 1967.

She will be greatly missed by her two sons; Duane A. Clark of Huntsville and Steve D. Clark and daughter in law, Kimberly M. Clark of Bremen, three treasured grandsons; Christopher A. Clark of Huntsville, Jeremy D. Clark (Hubbs) of Birmingham, Jason W. Clark (Bethany) of Birmingham and two wonderful great grandchildren; Carson of Huntsville and Collins of Birmingham.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary; siblings, Norman, Charlotte and Blanch.

A Celebration of Life Gathering to honor and remember Betty will be held on Wednesday, January 8th from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811.

Betty was a devoted animal lover her entire life. She always had animals in her adult life including dogs, cats, and horses. She also fed numerous wildlife over the years, making friends with many…they included raccoons, deer, geese, groundhogs, hummingbirds, wild birds and more. Memorial contributions may be made to the World Wildlife Fund (1250 Twenty-Fourth Street, NW, PO Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180) or the Greater Huntsville Humane Society (2812 Johnson Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). Flowers will also be accepted.
