Betty Jo Richmond

Mrs. Betty Jo Richmond of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Friday while at home surrounded by her family.  She was 88.  Betty was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and she dearly loved all of her family.   She was also a Christian and worshipped at the Gurley Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe Wilson.

Surviving family members include her husband of almost 60 years, Dan Richmond;  her daughters: Barbara Wilbourn, Janet (Terry) Puckett, and Linda Scott; her son, Ronnie (Debbie) Wilson;  her brother, Gene Nation; her sister, Peggy Denton; She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Martin officiating.  The family will begin receiving friends at 11:30.   Burial will follow the chapel service and will be in Charity Cemetery. 

Betty will be remembered for her kindness, her humility, and for always telling those around her that she loved them.  She will be dearly missed by her husband, children and all her loved ones.
