Betty Jo Power, age 72, of Gadsden, AL joined her daughter, Veronica, in Heaven on Thursday, November 14, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Bro. Brad Mullinax will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Samuel’s Chapel in Altoona. The family will accept friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Betty was a member of Glencoe United Methodist Church. She worked for over 25 years at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She loved to go camping, fish, and be outdoors. Betty will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Margaret Payne; brothers, Jackie, David, and Jeffery Payne; and her precious daughter, Veronica Kinney.
Betty is survived by her husband of 38 years, Alton Power; children, Dianne, Terri (Mark), and Seth; grandchildren, Loren, Dillon (Peyton), and Sadie; and sisters-in-law, Sandra and Joyce.
Pallbearers will be family.
