Betty Jo Lopp, age 89, of Westpoint, TN passed away Thursday, November 07, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Canaan Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Gertrude Littrell Mitchell; her husband, Willie Charles Lopp, Sr.; four sisters, Frances Lopp, Helen Enchos, Lorene Luna, and Brenda Berry; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lopp; one brother, James Mitchell; and one step-brother, Kenneth Bryant.
She is survived by one daughter, Edna Jo Wunner (Bill) of Kansas City, MO; one son, Willie Charles Lopp, Jr. of Westpoint, TN; two brothers, Ottis Mitchell, Jr. of Westpoint, TN, and Jeff Mitchell of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sisters, Peggy Hill and Tharon Gray, both of Lawrenceburg, TN; one step-sister, Katherine Berry of Lawrenceburg, TN; one step-brother, Bobby Bryant of Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren, Jim Lopp, who was also her caregiver, Kimberly Miller, Daniel Lopp, Shonda Lopp, Chris Wunner, and Josh Wunner; twelve great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2024, with Jimmy Turnbow officiating. Interment will follow at Rochell Cemetery in Westpoint, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
