Betty Jo Allen, age 87, born October 11, 1937, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Visitation will be Friday October 18, 2024 from 12:00PM – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Stanley Hargett officiating. Burial will be at Bethsaida Cemetery in Russellville, Alabama.
Betty is survived by her Children, Debra Allen Williams (Larry), Mary Allen Lane, George Allen (Marlene), Rat Allen (Lana), Sandy Morrow (Keith), Christy Hasheider, and Eddie Hicks; Sister Eloise Heaps; Sister-in-law, Marvalene Allen; as well as 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Tommy L. Allen; Son, Danny Allen; Granddaughter, Lauren Gaston; Son-in-law, Mike Hasheider; Brother, Bob Myrick; Sisters, Carolyn Moore and June Williams; and Parents, Floyd and Mary Thornton Myrick.
Pallbearers: Zack Allen, Kent Allen, Robby McGalliard, Justin Williams, Allen Gaston, and Hunter Motes. Honorary Pallbearers include: Dwain Clement, Dewayne Warhurst, Shooter Motes, and Andrew Pennington
The family would like to give a special thanks to Mandy Horton and Tina Kimbrough; A special thanks to a special friend, Mary Ellen Thompson; and a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama and Greta Boutwell for all the love and support they showed in the care of our Mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Bethsaida Baptist Church or Hospice of North Alabama.
Betty was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
