Mrs. Betty Jean Thomas Stanfield, age 85 of Lacey’s Spring, passed away at her home on December 21, 2023. Services will be held at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence on Tuesday, December 26 beginning at 2pm. Bro. Henry Melton will be officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon. Burial will be held at Tri- Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence.
Mrs. Stanfield was a kind and giving woman who always liked to have fun. She was a hard worker and was a business owner for most of her life. Her family says that she is unforgettable and a very classy, and sassy woman. Mrs. Stanfield loved to drive her red corvette and her “diamond white’ Cadillac.
Mrs. Stanfield is survived by her niece, Cheryl Bendall (Colin); great-niece, Heather Conner (Scott); great grand-nephews, James, John, and Thomas Conner; God-daughter, Brittany Karr; and special friends, Mike and Marie Karr, and Keith Rhodes. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Everett Thomas and Mamie Ann Vandiver; husbands, Cecil Stanfield and Scott Grant; brother, J.W. Thomas; and sister-in-laws, Grace Thomas and Evelyn Stevenson.
