Betty Jean Sharp, age 80, of Florence, stepped into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 13, 2023. A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Baptist Church in Waterloo at a later date, with Williams Funeral Home assisting the family.
She spent her life serving the Lord and caring for others. She enjoyed sewing, cooking (especially her famous fudge), and having Bible studies.
Betty was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Glen Sharp; daughter, Sue Davis; son, Barry Sharp; daughter-in-law, Susie Ann Sharp; son-in-law, Dennis Davis; parents, Clarence and Inez Smith; father and mother-in-law, Ellie and Irene Sharp; grandparents, Richard and Florence Kimbrough; brothers, R.C. Smith, Tommy Smith and Jimmy Smith.
She will be remembered by her sons, Donny Sharp and Danny Sharp; grandchildren, Christy DuBois (Wesley), April Sharp, Matthew Sharp (Jessica), and Jacob Sharp; great-grandchildren, Alexus Almond (Wyatt), Caleb Almond, Katie Haywood, Vail Aday, M.J. Sharp, Gabby Sharp, and Gage Moss; sister-in-law and best friend, Toni Smith; and nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.
