Betty Jean Garrison, 86, of Mount Hope, Alabama passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at Helen Keller Hospital. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, January 06, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 12:30 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Hickory Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery with Bro. Andy Coffey officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Born on November 11, 1938, to Milford and Grace Eddy Legg, Betty was a loving mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her two children, Tammy Garrison and Kenny (Becky) Garrison; son- in-law, Mark Duke; five grandchildren, Jonathon (Ashley) Garrison, Mallory (Chad) Sutton, Daniel (Montana) Duke, Hannah Duke, and Riley (Lexi) Garrison; nine great-grandchildren, Lexi Sutton, Austin Sutton, Lily Sutton, Peyton Garrison, Blaine Sutton, Taylor Garrison, Maci Garrison, Emmarie Duke, and Sadie Duke; great-great-grandson, Cooper Gibson; one sister, Helen NeSmith; one brother, Tom Legg; three sister-in-laws, Miriam Garrison, Betty Legg, and Mae Sue Legg; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Therron “Thirty” Garrison; parents, Milford and Grace Legg; one daughter, Felicia Duke; one sister, Louise Glenn; three brothers, Hoyt Legg, William Howard Legg, and Hoover Legg.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Garrison, Daniel Duke, Riley Garrison, Chad Sutton, Tab Garrison, Todd Garrison, Ronald Legg, and Steve Legg.
Honorary Pallbearers are Austin Sutton, Blaine Sutton, and Taylor Garrison
