Betty Jean Avery, age 85 of Carbon Hill, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at her residence.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fayette County. Lynell Earley will officiate.
Mrs. Avery was preceded in death by her Parents-Jess and Daughty Conway; Husband-Johnny Lewis Avery; Sisters-Maxine Rawls and Dean Painter; Brother-J.D. Conway.
She is survived by her Sons-Charlie Michael Avery (Sharon), Wendell Lewis Avery and Tracy Lee Avery (Lisa); Brother-Royce Conway (Peggy); Grandchildren-Heather Harson (Josh), Cruz Wood (Jamma) and Jon Avery; Great Grandchildren-Carter Williams, Mason Williams, Mattie Williams, Henry Harson and Lucas Wood.
