Betty Jane Stewart Prince – Obituary

Mrs. Betty Jane Stewart Prince, 80, passed away May 17,2014 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was a longtime dairy farmer along with her family. Mrs. Prince was also the original owner of The Something Blue Shoppe. She was born July 30, 1933 to Charles Wesley Hardwick Stewart and Hettie Pittman Stewart in the house she grew up in on West Main Street. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Carolyn Prince, and granddaughter, Katie Carroll. Survivors include her husband, Paul Prince, son, Charlie Prince (Juana), three daughters, Anne Walker, Becky Tankersley (Joe Ed) all of Hartselle and Mary Paul Hendry(Rob) of Satellite Beach, Florida, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral at 1 p.m. all at First Baptist Church of Hartselle. Burial will follow at Hartselle City Cemetery. Bro. Brooks Barkley and Bro. Junior Hill will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Wesley Tankersley,Joshua Hendry,Campbell Hendry,John David Blackwood, George McDonald, Dale Burch, Clint Harrison and Juan Cortez. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Dewel’s Doubles Sunday School class.
