Funeral service for Betty Gowen, 93, will be Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Bold Springs Presbyterian Church in Shelby County, Alabama, with Bro. Larry McCutcheon officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bold Springs Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church.
Ms. Gowen died on Friday, January 3, 2025 at her residence. She was born October 7, 1931, in Shelby County, to Foster Bailey and Verlia Nichols Bailey.
She was employed by South Central Bell and AT & T as an Operator, prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church and dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She was affectionately know to most everyone as “Neanie”.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her brothers- Earl Bailey and John Bailey and a sister- Francis Bailey Tinsley.

Four Grandchildren
Three Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Eric Norwood, Ryan Norwood, Johnny Norwood, Randy Bailey and Chris Felkins.
